This magazine cover gives a lot of information in a relative small space. Vibe is seen as a high standard RnB magazine. It is trying to attract its target marget of RnB music listeners by putting the well known star chris brown on the front cover. The picture of chris brown is the largest and most noitcable feature on the page, this is showing that the magazine will focus largely on him. The colours used on the cover are mainly green and white for font colour, then red sections to attract attention. The green and white are neutral colours which are used to make the page feel spacious as the typing would make the page feel crowded in a colour such as red. The magzine contains stories such as 'Will,i,am:the future of music' and ' the 18 most official Ja Rule songs ever'. These stories in the magazine are to appeal to there desired audience and would probably not appeal to anyone else. This is used well by the magazine because it puts Items on the front cover which would attract there customers more than others, such as they would'nt put '10lb baby born' on there magazine as it would have the opposite effect on readers. The effect of chris brown being on the front cover leaning on what seems to be a 'stone wall' is that people are suddenly lured to this particular copy over other magazines such as 'kerrang and smash hits'. This is due to his celebrity status and magazines will usually put celebrities on the cover who relate to there audience, but chris brown is also well known and liked by people who might not usually buy this magazine but if they know there are stories about him inside they would consider buying it. The cover to me looks very proffesional and well thought out as they space evverything jus enough to give it an open look and not putting heading to close as to make it seemed squashed in.
